Guided Tour of Bastia's Castle - June 28, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Departure by bus at 6:15 pm from La Marana - reception desk

Bastia was founded in 1378 when the Genoese governor Leonello Lomellini left the Biguglia castle to settle in a fortified site "a Bastia". The castle became the permanent residence of the governors of Genoa in Corsica at the end of the fifteenth century, although 1453 date is traditionally taken as date of installation.

From the castle, walking tour through the old city of Bastia, down to the "Old-Port" and the restaurant "La Barcarolle" which will welcome the Gala Dinner.

 The bus will bring back the participants to La Marana at 11:30 pm.

Cost of guided tour + gala dinner is included in the workshop fees.

For accompanying persons, 30€ fees will have to be paid by cash on site.
